About the role
An exciting full-time opportunity has become available for an experienced Systems Administrator to join the existing IT team. In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance, upgrading and management of customer's software, hardware and networks to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
Resourceful by nature, you will be able to able to diagnose and resolve problems swiftly and effectively. Your excellent communication skills will allow you to patiently assist a variety of internal & external users to deliver satisfactory results.
A snapshot of your day to day responsibilities include:
Installing and configuring software and hardware
Managing network servers and technology tools
Setting up accounts and workstations
Monitoring performance and maintaining systems according to requirements
Troubleshooting issues and outages
Ensuring security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Upgrading systems with new releases and models
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
Maintaining our internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
Maintaining customer's telephony & UC systems
Assisting with training of trainees
Helping plan our business strategies
Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN) and patch management
Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
Ability to create scripts in PowerShell, Python, Perl or other languages
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong problem solving skills
Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
Desire to undertake professional development including an internal & external training program to gain certifications with Sophos, 3CX, PaperCut & uniFLOW
Currently holding, or willing to undertake Police and Working with Children Checks
Manual Driver's Licence
