Health & Allied Services Enterprise Agreement – HK6 ($24.04 p/h) for the first 3 months then HK19 ($24.49 p/h)
The Warragul Linen Service (WLS) is a business unit of the West Gippsland Healthcare Group and are among the leading linen service providers to public hospitals and aged care facilities across Melbourne metropolitan and surrounds. Our laundry plant is situated in the regional town of Warragul, behind the West Gippsland Hospital.
We are currently seeking a versatile candidate to act as a Laundry Hand at our production plant. The role includes manual labour tasks and working with industrial machinery, facilitating the washing, drying, processing and distribution of healthcare linen amongst a team environment.
Major tasks include:
- Tipping returned linen for laundering.
- Sorting, both pre and post wash.
- Operating industrial batch washers and dryers.
- Loading and unloading washer extractors.
- Processing linen through industrial machinery e.g. ironers and folders.
- Quality checks and inspections.
- Packing and linen preparation for distribution.

Uniforms and protective clothing are provided. Please note that this role involves manual handling tasks, including lifting and pushing.
