  • Myrtleford
  • Mount Beauty
  • Bright River Pool
  • Porepunkah River Pool
During summer, outdoor pools become meeting places for our community, including customers of all ages and water confidence levels. As pool coordinator, you must be passionate about delivering high quality services - you will be organised, a good communicator, like to solve problems and most importantly get things done. Your customer focus and positive attitude means that you will play an essential role in the exceptional services MomentumOne Shared Services delivers on behalf of partner Councils. The pool coordinator provides a vital role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of aquatic facilities, whilst ensuring a safe, clean and friendly environment for users, including: Supervision
  • Management, supervision and direction of lifeguards in all aspects of their role
  • Mentor and support other team members, assisting them to progress towards supervisory
roles Safety
  • Supervise customers and minimise risk by identifying and responding to potential hazards and emergencies
  • Perform basic water rescues
  • Perform advanced water rescues
  • Provide first aid in response to a casualty
  • Provide emergency care pending the arrival of appropriately qualified personnel
  • Use advanced techniques for management of the administration of oxygen and ventilation of the lungs
Pre-season
  • Review and update pool operations policies, procedures and manuals
  • Ensure that all areas of the facility are checked, cleaned and prepared for the season
  • Ensure that the pool is emptied, cleaned and refilled as required
  • Check and test facility plant and equipment
  • Balance and disinfect pool water
  • Setup and test point of sale system
Cleaning and hygiene
  • Develop systems and procedures for the maintenance of quality pool water
  • Implement, monitor and evaluate systems and procedures for the maintenance of quality pool water
  • Make routine checks and complete minor maintenance on aquatic facility plant and equipment
  • Ensure all areas of the facility are maintained at a high level of cleanliness
Customer service
  • Resolve major customer complaints
  • Manage group bookings
  • Observe patron numbers and ensure staff numbers are adjusted to meet the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations (GSPO)
  • Adjust opening hours in response to weather policies
Retail
  • Stock management (inventory counts, stock ordering, transfers and returns)
  • Vend daily administration (product addition, price book price adjustments, inventory counts, stock ordering, transfers and returns)
Rostering and attendance
  • Roster talent at least 7 days prior to every shift on Ento
  • Review and approve timesheets on Ento
  • Review and approve leave requests (full-time and part-time staff only) on Ento
  • Set unavailability on Ento employee app
  • Swap and give shifts on Ento employee app
  • Clock on and off on Ento employee app or Ento time clock
  • Apply for leave (full-time and part-time staff only) on Ento employee app
  • Claim ad-hoc allowances and overtime
Other
  • Immediately inform your supervisor of any risks or areas of significant concern
  • Other duties as directed that are commensurate with the level of qualifications/knowledge, skills and experience required of the position
Requirements
  • SISSS00111 Pool Lifeguard
  • HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
  • SISSS00110 Aquatic Technical Operator (desirable)
  • Working with Children Check
  • Exempt from this requirement if a Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registered teacher, Victoria Police officer or Australian Federal Police (AFP) officer
  • Ability to effectively manage outdoor pool operations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aquatic industry standards, especially regarding pool supervision, water quality, and the use and storage of chemicals
